Time for Another Post

Okay, so this post will not have any particular theme, but I feel as if I owe you some updated reading materials since it has been over a week since the last posting.

Let's get the medical update out of the way...I've been doing well since the last post. I had a follow-up appointment today with my doctor and things are going well. I'm supposed to be resting for another week, as prescribed last week, and pending no additional cramping or bleeding, should be back to normal activities in one week. I may not share this info with Patrick, as I'm enjoying not picking him up since he is getting heavier and heavier!

Saturday Patrick and I went out and about. We bought Uncle Richard's Christmas present (we're almost done shopping!), some pet items, and some craft items (for a project for my Sunday School group of kids). We ate at CiCi's (which Patrick insisted on calling "Pizza Planet" in honor of Toy Story), which the boy child pigged out. We got to see two very large helicopters during our dining experience (it's near the Army Airfield), which excited Patrick further. We then went home and he napped while I proceeded to do 7 loads of laundry.

SEVEN. Why so many? Well, we had 3 loads of clothes, 1 load of towels we've used recently to clean up after our pets (don't get me started...a whole post in itself), and 3 loads of maternity clothes. Yep. I purchased $130.00 worth of clothes off of eBay and with the clothes that I had from Patrick's incubation, I now have a HUGE maternity wardrobe that will satisfy all of my clothing needs until June. You see...since I was in maternity clothes with Patrick from May through October, they were all summer attire (remember I lived in South Mississippi where it only gets cold 3 days a year). So I needed some stuff...mostly work attire...for cooler weather.

So, those were all washed and dried, and placed to rest on the dresser in our bedroom until further notice.
Sunday after church we put up the Christmas tree and decorations inside. We need to put up the outside stuff, but I didn't have the energy to hang it up (on the porch and balcony railings) after spending church with 3-4 year-olds and putting up the tree. So that stuff probably won't go up this year.

This morning before my doctor's appointment I put away all of my clothes that are already too small for me (in hopes of one day wearing them again after this pregnancy) and replaced them with my new wardrobe of maternity wear. =) Although some of my regular clothes do still fit, I can say that I have ready access to the maternity stuff now and it is off my dresser (and hopefully all of the wrinkles will fall out by that time so I don't have to iron most of it!).

So...that's my life. Exciting, isn't it?

Just to add some life to the post, here is an adorable series of pictures of Patrick and one of his cousins (just three weeks older than him) from Thanksgiving (it was so cool to see them loving each other so much since they rarely get to see each other!).

Glad to hear everything is going well baby-wise. Though seven loads of laundry in one day doesn't sound like taking it easy..;)

Great pics! I see you already have him scrubbing the toilet, LoL.

Honestly, the doctor didn't tell me that I had to take it easy in all aspects, but that I was on "pelvic rest." You might have previously been given that order, but if not, I'll leave it to your imagination as to what that means. =) It does include, however, picking up the boy child.

Yes...I'm teaching him early about cleaning. Gotta' get him busy on chores so that when baby #2 arrives I won't have to do all of the housework. Ha ha. Just kidding.

You know momma's work doesn't stop just because we're tired, on pelvic rest, or have a new baby around, right? =)

Glad to see you're feeling better. Beautiful kids, too.
